Frequently Asked Questions about Adjustable Beds
What is an adjustable bed? An adjustable bed allows you to elevate and lower your head, feet or both simultaneously to relax in the most comfortable position possible. Using the remote control you can adjust the head and foot sections of the bed. An adjustable bed consists of two parts: the base and the mattress. The mattress bends with the position of the base. Mattresses not built for this purpose should not be used with an adjustable bed base.
How does an adjustable bed differ from a flat bed? Our bodies are not flat, therefore traditional flat mattresses fail to offer enough support. This causes pressure and discomfort during the night forcing your body to turn to new positions - one of the reasons people don't sleep well at night. Adjustable beds are designed to relieve pressure as well as to provide proper spinal alignment.
What are the standard adjustable bed sizes? Standard adjustable bed sizes are as follows: twin xl (80 x 38) - Full xl (80 x 54) - Queen (80 x 60) - Split King (2 twin xl's) - Split Queen (2 - 80 x 30) - Split Cal King (2 - 84 x 36) - Twin (75 x 39) & Full (75 x 54) Also Available.

Your product descriptions refer to "head and foot articulation". What does this mean? It means that the bed folds in two places thereby dividing the mattress into 3 sections: the head, the middle, and the foot section. It is also known as a two-point articulation system.
Can I change the height of an adjustable bed? Yes, extension legs can be ordered with All 3 of our adjustable beds. Extension legs may be necessary when placing an adjustable bed inside an existing bed frame.

Will my existing headboard fit? Yes, provided the bed is the same size. A headboard bracket may need to be purchased separately.
Can I use any mattress for an adjustable bed base? No, the mattress must be one that can adapt to various positions, therefore make sure to purchase one that is made for an adjustable bed base. Call for mattress options.
Can I use my current bedding on an adjustable bed? As long as it is the same size there is no reason it shouldn't fit.
Does an electric adjustable bed require a lot of electricity? No, very little power is needed to raise or lower an adjustable bed so it isn't costly.
Do I need special wiring? No. Adjustable beds use standard, grounded, household outlets and are U.L. approved.
Does an adjustable bed qualify as a medical deduction? Maybe. Check with your doctor. Doctors prescribe adjustable beds for patients with a variety of health conditions including hiatel hernias and poor circulation.
Can I set up an adjustable bed by myself or do I need a handyman? You don't need a handyman, just make sure to have a minimum of two strong able- bodied folks (these beds weigh from 150 to 300 lbs. depending on size) to help you carry your adjustable bed from the delivery truck to your bedroom. Depending on the delivery option you choose, you will have to carry the bed from the truck or from the entrance of your home. The driver will not bring the bed into your bedroom unless you order "inside delivery with setup". Please call for prices.
What are my delivery options? You have 2 options.
The first option is to save money and carry the bed inside your home and screw in a few legs and place 2 batteries in the remote (wireless models only). You will most likely need 2 people to do this so if you have strong kids or a friendly neighbor you will save some money.
The Second option is to order the bed with in home setup. This includes 2 men to deliver the bed and bring it into your bedroom and fully assemble the bed to a working condition and cleaning up all debris. If you also need your old bedding removed please call for prices.
